Man, the holidays are so over.
That depresses me. I mean, I have to do the whole knuckling down and studying so I can get my 14 maths credits. Is that totally rank or is that totally rank? I tell you what, it is TOTALLY RANK. My life is over. Completely, well and truly over. O-V-E-R. Over.
Maths is like AIDS. The longer you have it, the sicker you become. I can tell you now, I am extremely ill. So ill, in fact, that I am starting to sound intelligent and wisdomonimous.

S: Yeah, the scissor sisters are a bit gay but everyone likes them.
ME: Exactly. They are a bit minty, but in the long run, we're all tic tacs. Some of us are just different flavours.

Is that wisdom for you or what? I tell you what, that is wisdom. The years must be finally catching up with me. Damn, I forgot my lunch.

Well last week I stayed at my cousins' house. It was pretty rocking, man. It was pretty rocking. I wore my hair out at school yesterday. People actually complimented me, but my paranoid side says that they were lying so that they could take advantage of my skills. What skills, he says. Paranoia is a tricky thing.

I spent $391.29 or something like that on my Eftpos card. The bank charged me $10.50 in fees with a rebate of $20.00. I mean, seriously, who charges people that much? It made me so angry that I decided to change banks.

Parachute is coming up and don't we all know it. I can't wait, man, it's going to be a good one. Ronnled's gonna hook me up. Yeyor. So many people are coming. I kinda don't want them to, y'know? It's like, my thing and I don't want them to ruin it by telling me off for things I shouldn't be doing. But oh well, I mean, I guess you can't put a damper on ecstasy, can you?

Today has been great so far. That is, till I got out of bed. I hate getting out of bed in the morning, I sleep with the curtains open and it's cold in my room but my bed is not and I don't want to get out of bed at 6 am to eat kiwifruit and mandarins then get in the car to sit down and scrawl little Xes and Ys and simultaneous parabolic line equations at an educational institution all day! (I suspect it's a joke the government has; I can see Don and Helen having a laugh about it now; "They STILL think algebra is for real!", cue: maniac laughter.) Well till then I guess I'll just sit at my computer and tap away while my brother plays on ADVENTURE QUEST (object of the game: whack two-legged purple things with big teeth) Urgh.

Gawsh I'm so bored. I want to write a list but I don't. I'm so obsessed with Parachute, it's like, so my life. I love festival atmosphere. Parachute is so awesome, like, everyone is so laxed out and all zoned. Lol. Zoned.

THINGS I CAN'T FORGET TO TAKE TO PARACHUTE '07

An umbrella. I thought it was genius, that idea, on the account of having to sit in the marquee with like, 20 of us all cramped in instead to escape the shade and the heat instead of wandering round having fun.
Jandals. Jandals are awesome for the gravel, like, your feet get all dusty but whatever. It's parachute, who cares?
Cash in hand. Credit cards and Eftpos is rubbish, you have to line up for the bank and it takes forever, like the shops are open longer than the bank.
Radios. Like the little ones that you can tune into other stations on. Real Walkie Talkie thingies. Like the ones that Matthew has that you can tune to channel 23 and say "Come in, Golden Eagle, come in. Over." And then you say back "Golden Eagle recieving Lucky Charm loud and clear. Over."
An acoustic guitar. Like, everyone has them. They're awesome.
Up and Go! The ultimate quick-fix breakfast...and lunch and dinner and elevenses and supper and...
A unicycle. They're AWESOME...They're...incREDIBLE!
A video recorder of some sort...to capture all those unforgettable moments of sleep deprivation-crazed lunacy that you want to share with everyone back at home.

This is a post dedicated to NIX cause it's her birthday. So, as the List Queen, I guess I'll have to write a list of THINGS Nix can do now that she's 16.

So here goes.

THINGS THAT NIX CAN DO NOW THAT SHE IS 16 AND NOT 15 LIKE ME

Eat fish and chips on the roundabout, even when her parents say not to sit on the grass cause she'll catch cold.
Leave home, even though it's not really a clever idea.
THE LEGAL AGE IS 16!...need I say more?
Dance crazy and no one will think she is obnoxious cause you can only be obnoxious when you're 15, after 15 life gets serious.
Get her restricted.
Get a job at Wendy's. the lady told me I was too young, and not even entitled to the minimum wage (which is rubbish anyway)
Have coffee in a cafe and the waitresses won't think she's weird or trying to be old before her time, like when I go into cafes thats what the waitresses look at me like.
Spend longer on the phone, because everyone knows that you automatically become more prestigious at 16.
Provide Elese with a lifetime of chocolate (not a must, but it is strongly reccomended)

Once upon a grey day, there lived a little old woman called Yuko-Amelia. Yuko-Amelia was a good drawer and spent her days playing hand games with her beautiful pet fish. One day, Yuko-Amelia ran out of fish food! So she went to the mall. While she was there, she stocked up her already bulging handbag. This is what Ms Yuko-Amelia put in her handbag.

One can of sardines, just in case her fish turned cannibal, or if she ever got a cat.
One pocket dictionary, for if she forgot what "enchilada" meant.
Three blind mice, just because.
Robitussin, because she often coughed at night.
Cat biscuits wrapped up in tinfoil, in case she ever got lost in the bush and met a poor kitty.
A pencil and paper, for if she ever got bored waiting at the doctor's surgery.
A photo of all her fish, because she feared she would never see them again.
An umbrella, for when it rained cats and dogs.
A plastic bag, in case it rained fish too.
A packet of tissues, to pull out and wipe dirt off her grandchildren's noses with.
Knitting needles, to stab those little vandals who graffitied her letterbox.
Sunglasses and a wig, a disguise for if she got caught stabbing them.

I've decided to celebrate the double digit thing by typing up a girl's survival guide for living at parachute- or, what to keep in your handbag-AT ALL TIMES. So here goes.

A GIRL'S SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR LIVING AT PARACHUTE
Or what to keep in your handbag-at all times. (Well it's what's in mine)

Chapstick- where would we be without our chapstick? Look what happened to Napoleon. And he wasn't even at a major music festival.
Tissues-To catch sneezes, for little things like that--you's be surprised.
Mobile phoooone-Ring ring ring! If you don't have your phone, you are, so to speak, screwed.
Panadol-who knows when you'll need it. And you have to sign at the first aid tent for panadol, it's a bit of a hassle.
Pliers-they do come in handy, for like, fixing your jewellery and stuff. It's parachute, why not?
Breathmints-For extra super minty fresh breath!
Impulse or Lynx-cause it's really, really hot. ANd then there's the mosh pits...
A pen- it comes in handy, esp. when taking down people's numbers, and stuff (trust me, you'll get a lot of them)
A really little notebook, like pocket-size, for writing down the phone numbers and shopping lists...
Keys-DON'T FORGET YOUR KEYS, WHATEVER YOU DO. (esp. your car keys!!!)
Those little handbag sized pocket towelettes-to remove makeup and stuff.
The studex stuff you got when you first pierced your ears. Or liquid savlon. It's good for if your ears feel gunky from sleeping in earrings for fear of losing them, or if you fall over. That gravel stings, man.
Wallet-you don't need ID for anything, I don't think, but you need cash for food and souviners or whatever.
A little mini-bag. Like, a coin purse for putting your earrings and necklaces and other unmentionables in. You don't want to lose those now, do you?

So that's the lucky 14 ( I figure, it's a multiple of 7) of what to have in your handbag. I should add berrocca. It's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

Well it would. E9 is scary at night. It's not actually night, it's 7:27 AM, but whatever, Trevor, it feels like night. There's a midnight blue kind of darkness and the trees outside are stripped bare from a post-autumn wind. Consecrated Paul McCartney, I sound like a dead poet.

Okay, so this weekend me and Tammy and Sheree and Emma went to a dance party. It was fabby. We danced till midnight. Well that's a lie, we danced till eleven and then got McDonalds on the way home. >LOL<.

...gosh, it seems like only yesterday that I was starting a blog...knowing my sense of time, space and dimension, it probably was. I MISS PARACHUTE! Gosh, parachute was so much fun. I may have to annoy everyone by doing a play by play diary of what actually happened. Ha! I think I will so that if anyone searches PARACHUTE '06 on the blogsearch, my blog will come up. TOP TEN TIPS

1. Buy Up and Go and V. And lots of it.
2. Bring your warmest sleeping bag.
3. Don't expect to get much sleep.
4. Bring lots of cash. Like, $20 a day for food.
5. Buy muesli bars.
6. Don't bring water, you can get it there for free from a supply near your site.
7. You can actually bring your hairdryer, most sites have a power supply within 20m.
8. It gets hot in the day. Real hot.
9. It's not so cold at night, but it is cold.
10. If you are going to sleep, do it in the day. From say, 10:00 AM till 4:00 PM.

OMG I can't wait for next year.

Ooooh, It's cold.

I feel like snuggling up somehwhere warm cause i'ts just so DAMN COLD! I'm serious, it's so cold I can hardly feel my fingers as I write this. Urgh. But I love the cold...what the hell? Oh well.

So yeah. I went for a run this morning. Last I started my ten dolllar text off, went to sleep around eleven, woke up at one, swore cause it was so cold, went back to sleep, woke up at three, swore when I realised I had to get up in 2 hours, tried to get back to sleep but realised Forrest (my teddy bear) (awww) had fallen out of bed, picked up Forrest, closed my eyes, opened them again, and before I knew it I was running down Hill Road, shivering. It wasn't too bad, I guess. I mean, there could have been a tsunami or whatever at the same time. Not that I don't know there wasn't. Uh-oh. What if there has been? Hold on.

Okay, there hasn't been a tsunami. But someone got angry over a power pylon (...?). So where was I...? Oh yes, so I went for a run. And tonight I'm going out to some random Japanese restaurant. I wish my brother would stop making sound effects for his car. Anyway, it's for wor-WHAT IF THERE'S BEEN A TSUNAMI NOW?

Oh, no, it's alright. President Bush has only gone and threatened the Iranians with the UN. We'll be fine, it's not like they have nuclear weapons or anything. Yeah, good one, Mr Bush. You've always been an awesome president, Mr Bush. But anyway, I might be going to the 48 hours final next Thursday night. I wanna, I love short films. Sylvia Park's opening that night, too. And then next week me and Tammy are going to a black and pink dance party at Saint Aidan's. So that should be-OH NO! WHAT IF PRESIDENT BUSH HAS DECIDED TO NUKE THEM?

Hum Five

So we went into town.

Henry dropped us in and we rocked on up to two double seven. You know, when you think about it, Newmarket is actually quite crappy on the account of having to pay $617 for a printed tee you'll only ever wear once. (I prefer not to think about it). So yeah. but anyways, we didn't do much. Really, I mean, what IS there to do with $20 and a train fare in newmarket? Okay, so we got gelato. Well it was really sorbet. And we got perfume samples. And Alex got a mini and Keri got a hot chocolate and I got a frappe. And we got free red bull and colgate max fresh and dating tips. Maybe we looked like we needed it or something, I don't know.

It was okay, though. The chinese dude at McDonalds almost had to give me a free burger. And the dude on the train who bought the Audioslave CD got annoyed at Keri and ran off.

We blew bubbles at the train station.

Gosh, train stations are such great places to hang. You can pretend like you're catching a train to some remote place and then ask everyone when their train is. It's so funny. But all good. We totally had to run though cause Sophie called and we were like Oh, bub and all cause she came into town as we were just leaving. But yeah, and we were gonna go into the city this weekend but now we can't cause I'm seeing Sheree, my one and only, who I haven't seen in yonks. And I have a staff do on the Friday.

Oh well. I could always catch the train in.

Like, OMG I have to remember a whole speech.

In French.

I mean, I thought it was bad and all when we went to debating last night and we spent more time in two double seven then we did actually doing our prep work for the debate so we lost. But not badly, I mean, I got 75 out of 100 for my speaking, and the highest member of the opposing team didn't get above eighty. So we didn't do too badly. I mean, yeah, out rebuttle wasn't awesome, but their last speaker started saying how people would start vandalising their homes if we stopped using fossil fuels and their first speaker just looked at him like, What the hell? It was the funniest thing, I swear, I couldn't stop laughing. But yeah.

ANYHOW. This french thing. What the hell is up with that? I actually have to memorise it. And it's long. It's like A l'intervalle, mes copains et moi mangeons nos norritures. Blah blah blah -but really bleuh bleuh bleuh cause it's french you see-allume la lumiere parce que mes belle meres et mon frere aiment la lumiere. And then I have to make sure that I achieve over the damn thing. It's going to be hell.

But oh well. At least no one's going to vandallise their own home over it.

Hum Two

Saturday night was so cool. Me and Keri were gonna like, go and get out all them chick flicks, like CLUeLeSS and Princess Diaries and then probably the Lion King cause Keri likes the lion king. I think. But anyways, we didn't do that on the account of Keri having her baby cuzins over and her mum was making them dinner so we couldn't go get DVDs or whatever. So we went next door and got these boys, I don't really know who they were, but one of them was like, 17, and the other one was like, 15 or something, I don't really remember (!). So yeah, and then we walked up to the shop where the malaysian people are and they always give you extra chips at like, 5 o clock on Sundays, but we went into the mobil station instead. And yeah, so I burned up my HARD EARNED CASH on V and dark chocolate and yeah.
So that was all good, but not very interesting really. And then we dropped Rose off at Keris and went up to Megans cause Megans got all these hookups so she walked on out and she was getting pissed, but with megan now, it's like, When? and someone will go When She Got Pissed. And you'll just be like, What, Like LAST Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, WHat?... But yeah. SO we walked up to the fish and chip shop and they ALWAYS ask us if we want a job, these dutch people, and they give us extra fish and chips too. And Cain applied for a job, but he got REJECTED. So we went and got Jade from her house and she took ages tying her shoes, I remember, and Megan lay on her lawn. So we walked up to the roundabout, and Megan's mum pulled up with guy, and Guy got out and yelled at poor Meggy she was gonna get a bash (but i thnk he was tryna be funny) so she ran down the street, and these two guys in a subaru station wagon pulled up behind them at the roundabout and started beeping so Guy decided maybe he'd just go home. And the guys went to the dairy and got trumpets, and we found out it was some peeps Keri knew and we leaned in their window and talked to them. And they were being dixtchs so we rocked on up to the pizzeria and I got me a job AND a cheese pizza, all for the LOW LOW price of only $11.99. So yeah. And we blew bubbles. And met some random called Markus With A Beanie. And Keri's exxy sort of dude pulled up in a skyline and said he couldn't afford us or something. Whcih was weird cause none of us had even really met him for a few years, like SERIOUS a few years. And yeah, so we all got aggro and ran back home eating pizza, and it was fantastically fun. We haven't done that for a while. So yeah. Now we're going into town this Saturday, me and Keri and Alex and Sophs and Emma. We think. So funky monkeys.

WoOOOO! I got a blog. I'm so happy, I got a blog. Blogs are so great, like for when you get tired of nzgirl and the server blocks bebo or whatever. Yeah, okay so this is my first post. Um, I don't really know what to write, since I don't have anything to blog about really. Okay. I'm sitting in the pod in E7 with my brother who is playing pokemon online or something weird like that. And when dad comes in he makes out like he's doing research on Louie Braille. But he's not. He's battling his Kangaskhan. Oh yeah, did I mention? No, I guess I didn't. Well he's entering rockquest, I'm so jealous, I wish I could have entered rockquest. But our band sucks, on the account of we've never actually played at all. Oh well. I'm gonna go edit the rest of this.
